This watch has the biggest, easiest to read, digits I have found….and I searched.

It is also easy to use.

4 Stars Does the job but should have better light
I bought this product because I needed a watch with a timer to start timing myself when I run. Nike makes quality products, and this is no exception. However, the night light doesn’t stay on long enough–you have to constantly press it. Other than that, the watch looks sharp and is the perfect size. Its alarm is also good. It is loud but not annoying. I recommend this product if you want a basic digital water-resistant watch with a chronometer.

I wear it daily. the buttons depress accidentally though so it does not stay on the “time” screen.

1 Star NIKE WATCH
I purchased this watch on 8/6/08. I am currently in Iraq and I needed a backup. I already own one similar to this one. I just wanted one on standby in case my battery died or another mishap. This watch that I purchased on Amazon died on 9/7/08. It doesn’t work at all. I don’t know what happened. I only wore it 2-3 times because my other watch still worked. Watches are supposed to last longer than 30 days and this one didn’t. I’m not sure if its because I didn’t buy it directly through NIKE or because I took the short cut. Nevertheless, I’m still out of $40+ and I don’t have anything but a worthless watch to show for. I don’t recommend this product.

3 Stars BATTERY?
I received the watch quickly and was exactly what i wanted. Only problem is that within a month the battery dies on me and of course it has to be a difficult watch and they cant just put a new battery in i had to send it to some place to get a new one.

I still have not recieved this item, and it has been over a month since I ordered it.

2 Stars Nice watch, hard to see what time it is.
The watch is great, fits fine, lots of great features but the black background and the grey numbers make it very difficult to read especially if you were running!

i have had it over a year now and i love it it been one of my fav watches i ware it to all my sport games and the back ground is a little heard to see but alls you have to do is hit the light and u can see it

I never return items, but this is unusable. I can hardly read the display. I attempted to adjust the contrast setting, but it had no noticeable effect.

I had a triax and love it. just dont get the black on black.

1 Star Great watch but breaks easily
I’ve had the Nike Triax 100 for 6 weeks now and love everything about it. But while taking the watch off the other day, the wrist band strap came off from the watch. An examination shows that the plastic wristband is fastened to the watch with two tiny screws that while still secured to the watch, have pulled completely through the plastic wrist band. There was no reinforcement on the band; just plastic. Of course this occured after the 4 week refund period. And the guarantee covers everything excep the battery, crystal and strap….

In the future I’ll examine Nike watches to make sure they have a real strap connected securely to the watch…….

2 Stars A great watch with an awful band.
Just as the other reviewers said, the steel cross bar broke through the rubber band leaving me with a great pocketwatch but a poor wristwatch. The watch itself is great, and I’ve had other great Nike watches, but the band is awful.

I was very excited to find this watch because of the ‘target’ time feature. The watch worked great until the watch band broke. I glued it because it was a great watch…until the other side broke. Nike created a consumable watch. One year and you have to buy another watch. Terrible R & D.

4 Stars Cool pedometer/watch
Got this watch not long ago. The pedometer works good and the watch is stylish. It has all the functionality that you need in a digital watch. My only complaint is that the crystal is very soft. I have scratched it a number of times already, which has been a disappointment. I am hoping I can find a replacement crystal of better material, but I’ve not had time. The watch is also a little difficult to operate, but it does have an owners manual that comes with it that I haven’t taken time to read in detail. Other than that I am very happy with the purchase.

1 Star Terrrrrible Customer service at SPORTLINE
The watch seemed to function for about thirty days. After that I contacted customer service via email and telephone with no response what so ever so they are either out of business or just plain don’t care!

I have the same problem as another reviewer, you can’t set up the pedometer using the instruction manual given with the watch. Pressing and holding the mode button while the watch is in pedometer mode does nothing. Definitely not worth the fifty dollars. Complicated set up so far with tiny cheap plastic buttons. Also a very cheap wristband. Terrible choice.

2 Stars At least the watch works
The Sportline 955 – after setting the watch function, I tried to set the pedometer function. To do this, the instructions say “In pedometer mode, press and hold the mode key to enter the setting sequence.” This didn’t work for me. After repeating this operation several times, I found that holding the mode key in pedometer mode does nothing. Therefore, I have a watch, but not a pedometer.

1 Star Three strikes it’s out
The instruction manual for this item is unbelievable. I have a Ph.D. from MIT (no joke) and it took me 90 minutes to get through it. Even then, the sequence to change parameters takes lots of getting used to. (there are two interlocking loops of parameters.)

The bezel *is* soft and scratches easily.

The unforgivable? Today I did my first half marathon, and the chronograph function ran slow, then fast, then slow, then slow. It was totally useless. Pretty irritating performance for a big event.
